Approval for publishing, editorial process, ethical statement

Papers are accepted for publication by the editors-in-chief. In case of dispute, the editorial board is involved. If the essay is in line with the aim and subject matter of the journal, the editors-in-chief send it for peer review. Each essay is reviewed by two experts of the field, while reviews are reviewed by one colleague. Both the reviewers’ and authors’ identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process (double blind review). The editors, the editorial board and the reviewers undertake confidentiality obligations. When the review process is finished, reviews are sent out to the authors. The review process cannot take more than two months. The reviewers are independent and they base their evaluation on professional criteria. A plagiarism checker is applied if necessary. Papers published in Folia Uralica Debreciensia may also be published in other journals in the future, provided that the original place and date of publication is given. The editorial staff of FUD does not accept papers that have already been published in the same language elsewhere, but publication in a different language is allowed.
